More Flat Action

Dow: -33.07…
Nasdaq: -5.49… S&P: -2.97..

U.S. stocks slipped Thursday, led lower for a second consecutive session by health-care shares.

It was the third-lightest day of the year for trading volumes. Stocks have been locked in a narrow range ahead of the Federal Reserve’s annual meeting in Jackson Hole, Wyo., without much on the earnings or economic calendar to steer direction.

Janet Yellen is scheduled to give a speech at the central bankers’ conference on Friday. The market will be watching for any clues on the course of monetary policy or her assessment of the economy.

The Nasdaq Biotechnology index fell 1.1%, extending losses from yesterday.

Crude oil added 1.2% to $47.33 a barrel and has risen nine of the past 11 sessions. But the price gains have been relatively small and the market is on pace for a losing week.

I added RPD and TLND today.  TLND reported earnings after the close.  Talend missed by $1.53, beat on revs; guided Q3 EPS in-line, guided revs above consensus; guided FY16 EPS in-line, revs above consensus. The stock has dipped 5 bucks in the aftermarket. I wont sell at the open and I will email you when I figure out what I am doing with this one.
