The Wrap 4/25/11

{+++}It was a very active day for the Upsiders,  but slow news flow made for an uneventful day of trade that led the major equity averages to drift along in mixed fashion all session.  Netflix fell a little short on guidance and was down about 5% in aftermarket trade.

Tomorrow before the open look for the following companies to report: DAL, WIT, AKS, ASH, COH, CRS, IIVI, MMM, OSIS, PVTB, RYN, SBNY, TLAB, WAT, X, XRS, LCC, VLO, LMT, OXPS, TKR, UA, ACI, ACO, ARLP, F, SNV, ITW, ROP, WDR, AMG, AXE, CE, CMI, FMER, IMN, KCI, LXK, MHP, PNR, UPS, HSP, HSY, IACI, AN, LII, R, CSL, LO, AGCO, CNC, MNI, PCH, KO, SIAL, GPI, GRA, ACPW, CPLA, JAKK, SPAR, ARB, CBZ, LCAV, VDSI, ECL, LECO, AMED, DORM, HSII, KNOL, ODP, SAH, WAB, CRDN, TFX, TWI, and WTI.

Please check the P&L for updates this evening as I made some moves today. I took some profits, took one stop and added some new names intraday which included: TZA, TIBX, FCX, and I entered FSLR as a short.  I also added ROVI as short candidate, but the price isn’t there yet.

Expect the market to get even slower tomorrow which is the eve of The Bernank’s big day on Wednesday. Today’s market volume was about 33% below its 90 day average so needless to say there are many folks sitting on there hands.

It will be very interesting to see how the market reacts post Bernanke on Wednesday. Hope you had a good day and I will see you in the morning.
