Street Sign Market-One Way
{+++}Just when you think the underpinings are weakening, they buy the dip. The DOW led the market today, it was actually higher the entire day, while the Nazzy and S&P were in the red, primarily because some DOW stocks reported some good numbers. The financials led, which was surprising to me, but I guess I’ve seen crazier things happen. It started around 2PM when the Nasdaq and S&P decided to play catch up to the DOW. The S&P tacked on about 9 and the Nazzy about 20 points. Pretty significant and pretty impressive.
The S&P broke 1100 support, but shook it off and closed near the highs. A close above 1100 is key for the bulls and I wonder if they would like to squeeze the shorts into the close tomorrow. Maybe, something to watch. Keep in mind that a reversal lower again is also very possible if you want to use yesterday and today as a guide. I’m being vague but so is the market here. Really tough to call, but one thing is for sure, a resolution is coming soon, in the meantime watch the 1080-1100 level. A break of either level should solve the puzzle.
