Light Volume Jolt
‘+++Was today just a technical bounce before more pain? We’ll see. It was a very light volume display of strength, quite anemic actually. Commercial real estate caught a bounce along with the financials, and materials and oil caught a pop off the weak dollar.
I had a tight stop on BAC, maybe too tight and it stopped, I plan on revisiting the name soon.
Net on the day the Dow was up 112.08 to 9599.75, the S&P 500 up 15.25 to 1040.46, and the Nasdaq 100 up 13.15 to 1675.54.
Advance-declines were positive by 5 to 1 on New York and by 2 1/2 to 1 on Nasdaq. Up/down volume was 9 to 1 positive on New York on total volume of 1.1 billion. Nasdaq traded 2.3 billion and had a more than 4 to 1 positive volume ratio.
