Midday Look

Indexes are down about 1/2 to 1% at 12:42 PM.

Almost every sector with the exception of gold and silver is in the red. The consumer staples (XLP) sector is just barely green, so the market is bullish ( or just less afraid), on cereal and diapers, but that’s about it right now.

Crude oil is down 4.6% at around $51.  Pump prices will be coming down.  The financials have been getting decimated.

No rush here to be a hero. The headlines are vicious and whipping everything around.

Some gold stocks are getting ahead of themselves here short term, but will still play long term. I may or may not peel a little more off later.  Let you know if I do.
